Kenan Akyüz, Head of the Processing and Marketing Department of the General Directorate of Forestry, visited the Industrial Organizations Working in Our District Together with the Delegation.
Kenan Akyüz, Head of the Processing and Marketing Department of the General Directorate of Forestry, Yusuf Şahin, Head of Bolu Forest Regional Directorate, Yusuf Şahin, Head of Zonguldak Forest Regional Directorate, Ahmet Sırrı Beşel with the related Departmental Chiefs inspected the modern Ankersan Forest Products industrial foundation which has recently gone into action in the Gerede Organized Industrial Zone and whose annual processing capacity of forest impregnated raw materials is 61,500 cubic meters.
When newly-founded Ankersan company starts to work at full capacity at which the firm processed mainly breech, it needs 5,000 to 6,000 cubic meters of breech log per month and this demand is met by sewn sales from Ankara, Bolu, Zonguldak and Kastamonu, Adapazarı Forest Regional Directorates.
Both company executives have requested that they invested big in their factories, created new jobs, but they should be assisted in supplying breech log to them for the continuity and the regular operation.
Kenan Akyüz, Head of the Processing and Marketing Department of the General Directorate of Forestry, said that for now, the company executives could supply beech log from the warehouses by open tender or from the relevant regional directorates by using sewn sales from beech compartments, which are available and ready for sewn sale.
The happiness could be seen from the faces of the works who started to work as a result of the employment created with the opening of a new factory operating in the forest area of the Forest Management Department of Gerede Forestry Directorate of Bolu Forestry Directorate and with the employment as a result of the establishment of an additional facility to extend the capacity of the existing factory within the area of responsibility of the Düzce Forestry Management Directorat.
The company executives said that they were very satisfied with the visit and the meeting and asked the authorities to make such visits and to be informed by the forest administration.
